At the School Board meeting on Feb. 7, the board discussed a possible $1,000 bonus for teachers. $500 coming from federal grant funds and the other $500 from the district's fund balance. A $500 bonus for all certified staff is a total of $1.4 million. The fund balance has $17 million.
Teachers are asking you to support them as they approach the school board at next week's meeting. Please sign the petition. Their goal is 1,600 signatures.
